When is it good to baby talk your dog? Baby talk is good if used as a reward for good behavior and to reinforce a dog’s current actions at that very moment. Baby talk is not good when trying to calm an aggressive or fearful dog; it will have the opposite effect than you want. It will make the aggression or fear worse. However, It’s can be great encouragement for dogs to perform tricks they already know; or for the rarely needed occasion, it can be used to bring energy up or to break a “frozen” dog out of it’s shell. However, remember… 90% of the time act like a dog and let your body do the talking instead!
